Gary Blackman is a founding member of Levenfeld Pearlstein, former Chair of the firm’s Litigation Group and its General Counsel.
Gary’s focus is on resolving complex business disputes for the firm’s corporate and real estate clients, in particular, restrictive covenant, joint venture, partnership and LLC disputes. Gary also specializes in counseling registered investment advisors in transitioning between brokerage firms and in arbitrating broker/dealer disputes before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
As General Counsel, Gary is a leader in making the business case for mindfulness in the law, and the powerful and liberating benefits of transparency and honesty in the workplace, not only to improve risk management but to reduce stress, increase resiliency and enhance our personal and professional lives.
In October 2022, Gary completed an intensive 9-month teacher training program to teach mindfulness to lawyers.
